CLEAN WINDSHIELD BOX
SOMETIMES THINGS ARE NOT SO CLEAR...
Sometimes when we are learning about new things, we have difficulty imagining, carrying out, or understanding it. It's like a dirty windshield of an automobile. We know we are supposed to be driving this thing, but we cannot see where we are supposed to go with it! We need to clean our windshield off or else we may crash!

In band, there are times when we cannot see we need help until we get home and try it while we are practicing. It sounded so good in class and now, what's going on? Or perhaps, we were to shy to ask the teacher what they meant in front of the entire class. Whatever the reason is, sometimes we need a little clarification!

Students have the option of writing on a slip of paper questions, requests, and they can also report any problems that are class related (that they may not feel comfortable speaking aloud) to Ms. Mathews- Ricks and Mrs. Gillespie.

These boxes can be found in each teacher's classroom, near the front of the room.

We also understand that sometimes things get busy and students don't have a chance to leave us a message in our Band and Music Clear Windshield Boxes. Below is a form students can fill out using his or her first and last name(s), School or personal email address (all students are issued a county email address. Even if parents did not sign up for his or her student to have one.), the subject area should say Clear Windshield Box, and the message should be what the student needs help with, wishes to share, or feels compelled to mention something to the Directors in private. Once the form is completed, students must click "Send" and both Ms. Mathews-Ricks and Mrs. Gillespie will be emailed the question/information sent via the form below. If students are crude or disrespectful to the teacher, school related punishments can occur (ISS, OSS, Detention, etc.). If the message includes information that is not school appropriate, the student must explain the context of the information provided.
